The Wee Charity Shop
The Wee Shop is Cowal Kirk’s Charity Shop located in the centre of Dunoon

The Wee Charity Shop
Cowal Kirk has its very own Wee Shop. A charity shop that has raised exceptional sums of money for the benefit of church funds over recent years. The shop is manned entirely by volunteers working free of charge and is ably managed by Lawther Murchison, again without salary or wage.
Over five years ago, inspired by the success Dick Walsh had enjoyed with opening a MOD Charity shop., Lawther launched the Church’s charity shop. Initially located within the old Queens Hall, the shop moved up the hill to the corner of Moir Street before arriving at its current resting place at 89 Argyll Street.
Lawther, assisted by her team of volunteers, has worked incredibly hard over the years to build the business to the present success story.
The shop sells quality second-hand items to the people of Dunoon and their visitors and is currently bursting with stock (though more is always welcome). The range of stock is immense from knitting needles to small items of furniture and includes china, jewellery, crystal, paintings, photos, books, bedding, fabrics, wool and much much more. Generous parishioners have contributed some high quality items. Lawther is grateful for the many donations from the whole community which keep the shop stocked.

The shop aims to be open six days a week from approximately 10 am to 4 pm but currently closes on a Monday.
